The Historic Chester Business Association recently presented Cancer Hope Network with a donation of more than $800. The gift is the result of HCBA’s 2022 fundraising efforts that included CHN as the official Charity Partner of the Annual Classic Car Show.
“The Historic Chester Business Association is dedicated to improving the quality of life for Chester residents and businesses,” said Kathy Barbieri, HCBA President and owner of Chester Crafts and Collectibles. “As an organization and as individual business owners, we are proud to be longtime supporters of Cancer Hope Network and their work to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.”
The funds will be used to provide peer mentoring support for cancer patients, caregivers and survivors.
“Cancer Hope Network volunteers serve cancer patients and caregivers across the nation – but they’re also committed to the communities they call home. We are particularly gratified to receive this gift from members of our local community – where our HQ staff lives and works,” said Director of External Affairs Sarah Miretti Cassidy. “We give heartfelt thanks to our colleagues and friends in the Historic Chester Business Association for their generosity.”

Support Volunteers have faced more than 80 types of cancer. (More than 98% of the cancers that will be diagnosed this year.) They speak 15 languages, are located across the country, and are prepared to offer hope and guidance through a wide variety of challenges that accompany a cancer diagnosis.
All volunteer and client matches are overseen and supported from beginning to end by a team of healthcare and social work professionals.
