We're here to help the helping professionals
Our Programs Team works with healthcare, community and nonprofit professionals across the country to provide ongoing support for cancer patients, survivors, and the people who love them. The brainchild of an oncology nurse searching for ways to provide support for her patients, Cancer Hope Network has been serving cancer patients and their loved ones since 1981.
We are proud to be a resource for oncology nurses, social workers, navigators and professionals.
A commitment to collaboration
CHN is here to help you offer free and confidential peer support services to your cancer patients and the people who love them. Our Programs Team provides oversight of each match, following the client and volunteer for the length of the connection. The team can provide additional resources when the needs of the client require additional support – or step in on the occasional instances when a client and volunteer are not a perfect fit. Using our cadre of volunteers, CHN is able to provide effective, professionally led peer support anywhere in the country!
Our volunteers are trained to lend a listening ear – sharing their own experiences, providing hope and inspiring courage for patients and caregivers. They represent more than 80 cancer types and speak 15 languages. While most matches begin with a similar diagnosis or treatment, they also include other lifestyle circumstances and considerations that are important to the patient.
