Building a Network for over 40 years.
Cancer Hope Network was founded by oncology nurse, Diane Paul, in 1981, in response to her patients asking if there were others in her care receiving the same treatment – usually chemotherapy – who were dealing with similar side effects and fears.
They wanted to talk to someone with first-hand experience and often said they’d feel less afraid if they could simply speak with someone who’d walked the same path.
With the support of her local Junior League, as well as a dedicated team of medical professionals, social workers, cancer survivors, and supporters, Diane Paul founded Cancer Hope Network (originally CHEMOcare). For over four decades, our trained survivor and caregiver mentors have been inspiring hope and promoting positive health outcomes by helping support seekers to look beyond their diagnosis, cope with treatment, and transition into survivorship.
