Request a Mentor
We’ve been there. We understand. We’re here for you.
Going through cancer can be an emotional rollercoaster.
Connecting with a mentor who’s walked a similar path can help you to better cope with the challenges of your cancer diagnosis or caring for a loved one with cancer.
Cancer Hope Network’s mentors are here to inspire hope and help you find solace and support.
How Our Matching Process Works
Step 01
Get Started
Complete the match request form to begin the process and a member of our Programs Team will reach out to gain an understanding of your unique situation, challenges, and needs.
Step 02
Get Matched
Our team made up of social work and healthcare professionals will coordinate a customized match with a trained peer mentor – or multiple mentors – based on what information you identify as most important. Connections are facilitated within 24 – 48 hours of initial contact.
Step 03
Get Support
Our Peer Mentors give you the freedom to show up exactly how you are in each moment, moving at the pace that works for you. Visits typically take place over the phone or video chat.
After your initial meeting, you’ll continue to receive ongoing, end-to-end professional oversight, handled by our Programs Team.
Wherever you are in your cancer journey, from pre-diagnosis, through treatment, and into post-treatment survivorship, it’s never too late to connect with Cancer Hope Network.
Navigating a cancer experience is hard. Connecting with someone who understands is easy.
Our Peer Mentors are trained volunteers who have personally experienced cancer and offer emotional support, guidance, and understanding to individuals currently going through cancer. Peer Mentors provide a compassionate, relatable connection for those seeking support from someone who has walked a similar path.
