Hope happens because of you!

Yes! I'd like to volunteer!

“After going through my cancer I wanted to help others. I learned that Cancer Hope Network’s personal,
one-to-one contact with patients is a beautiful, complete volunteer experience.”  Support Volunteer Peter

Looking for a way to volunteer by helping others navigate their cancer experience?

For  more than 40 years, Cancer Hope Network volunteers have created hope and inspired patients and caregivers in their fight against cancer. Now we’re inviting patients and caregivers treated at a Stanford Health Care facility to join the team as part of our East Bay Pilot.

The pilot provides support for patients and caregivers currently being treated at Cancer Center Emeryville, Pleasanton, Castro Valley, & Valley Care. Ideal volunteers are at least one year post-treatment or are successfully undergoing maintenance therapies.

Volunteers participate in a training session that covers important policies and procedures and includes communication tips and role playing exercises. Training outlines the roles and responsibilities of a Support Volunteer and teaches techniques for working with patients in the most helpful ways.
