Mentorship and Hope From People Who Have Been There
Talking with someone who’s been there can make a cancer diagnosis, going through treatment, supporting a loved one, or adjusting to post-treatment survivorship just a bit easier. With a shared mission to inspire hope and improve the quality of life for people impacted by cancer, Cancer Hope Network and the Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center have joined forces to walk your cancer path with you.
Every person with cancer has a unique experience, so finding someone who understands your individual challenges can be difficult. Through the Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center PATHS (Peer Access to Trials, Hope, and Support) program, powered by Cancer Hope Network, cancer patients and caregivers can connect with trained peer mentors who care because they’ve been there and have undergone a similar cancer journey. These mentors empower patients and their loved ones by providing empathetic, compassionate support. They inspire hope and resilience and offer encouragement and motivation.
Through the Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center PATHS program, you can request to be connected with a mentor based on diagnosis, treatment protocol, clinical trials participation, individual lifestyle choices, and other personal circumstances. This support is available to you at any point along the continuum of care—from pre-diagnosis, through treatment, and into post-treatment survivorship.
