Time and again, we hear from our survivor and caregiver volunteers that the darkest days after their diagnosis were also days they witnessed the power of their communities. Friends offering rides to treatment, family members sitting for hours in comfortable (and uncomfortable!) silence. Strangers banding together to support fundraisers. Strangers who’ve since become dear friends sharing words of hope and solidarity.

Now, there’s a tool to help bring that community closer.

At Cancer Hope Network, we occasionally share information about organizations providing resources or opportunities for survivors, patients and the people who love them. Today, we’re pleased to introduce you to a a new, free resource for cancer patients and their loved ones. We’re grateful that our friends at MendTogether will make a contribution to Cancer Hope Network for each registry that is created (and registry creators will receive a $100 site credit.)

Many patients struggle with what to say when friends and family ask, “How can I help?”. Mend Together is a free platform that makes this easier.

Mend Together’s gift + cash registry, community journal, and volunteer calendar are all designed to help others learn what to say, do and give to someone facing cancer.

How it works:

Patients (or a helper) can register for over 300 healing products, services and cash funds — as well as send updates to loved ones.  Friends and family can choose a gift to send, contribute funds, send encouraging words, or donate time.

Use code HOPE$100 when you create a registry. You will get a $100 site credit and Mend Together will also donate $20 to the Cancer Hope Network to help empower and encourage clients.
